Feruz in Cardiff

Sorry for not posting for a long time... been busy lately...

My parents came to Cardiff on the 29th, and on the 30th, my sis got a call that her new house is ready... that was why I didn't have any time to update my blog... we were too busy cleaning up things and getting ready to move!

SO anyway... the 1st day (Tuesday) my parents was in Cardiff, me, my parents+Nawal+Farah walked to the city centre. We took the Cardiff tour bus and had a tour around Cardiff which was interesting coz some of the places I hadn't been to :P Then, we went to the city centre to get a bite to eat coz everyone was cold and hungru from the bus trip coz we sat on the upper level of the bus hehehe... Ate at Debenhams, we had sandwiches and coffee... Then made our way to the Cardiff castle for the tour (which was the 2nd time for me)... Then we went home...tired...and headed straight out again to buy groceries, and had to rush back home coz my sis got the call about her new house, and we had to go see the house. Oh and I petted a dog for the 1st time ever that day! :P

Wednesday and Thursday was filled with packing and unpacking from the old house to the new one... oh and we went to the car boot sale to find some stuff for the house... like a dining table... and some mirrors

On Friday, we went to the West Midland Safari Park... It was GREAT! We got REALLY REALLY close to the animals! Plus, we got to feed some cows and deers too ^_^ and I now know first hand hos it feels like to have cow saliva all over your hand... bleurghhh... We ate lunch at the car park under some trees, and then proceeded to their theme park just beside the safari park. Got onto the waterlog ride and twister ride (which wasn't a pleasent one coz it throws you from side to side and my neck was aching by the end of it) coz the kids needed an adult to accompany them, and I was the only one who could go on, coz my sis was pregnant and my parents were'nt interested... eheh.. When we got home it was already dark :D

Not sure wether it was Saturday or Sunday that we went to Stonehenge... It was about 3-4 hours away from Cardiff... and we stopped over at Swindon where there's this warehouse where they sell high-street brands at lower prices, something like all their rejects from high-street gets sent there... banyak gak ah beli.. eheheh.. and then we went to stonehenge..and apparently they don't know why it's built...and no..it has nothing to do with the Druids...

On Monday, me and my mom went to the city centre to get some more stuff...I got my perfume...finally! heheheheheh.. I wanted Gucci Envy, but settled for Elizabeth Arden's Green Tea coz it was on offer...

Tuesday was our flight home... We went out at about 10 a.m (our flight was at 10 p.m heh), and in the rush of getting our bags downstairs... one of the friggin bag fell on my foot...and it bled... and I spent like 15 minutes crying coz it hurts... hmm maybe that's why I didn't cry much at the airport? So anyway... My dad wanted to see Big Pitt where me and my sis went before, so we went there first, he took some pictures there, and then we went to Swindon (again) for some last minute shopping... We had some drinsk+cakes at Starbucks, and then we went to a McDonalds... the most expensive ever that we had to pay at a McD :P Then we stopped over at Windsor, where we ate beside the Thames River... And then we were on our way to the Airport... got the bags out, said our teary goodbyes to my sis and the kids...and we went inside...

Now the flight was another thing... about 5-6 hours into our flight, one of the passanger had a heart attack or something.. or something wrong with his pace-maker, and there were 2 passengers who were doctors, and they told the pilot that they needed to land somewhere so that the person can get some medical help... and we ended up in Karachi no long after... That delayed us for like... 3 hours... boasn ok 3 jam dalam plane doing nothing =_= After that incident, it was smooth flying all the way...

At KLIA, Rini, Ainz and AJue had been waiting for me since 5.30 p.m! Kesian tau dierang.. haih... I'm soooo glad to be home... and never had I been so glad to see my family and friends and not forgetting my cats and my car in my whole life!

So..basically that was my last few days in Cardiff, Wales...

Now it's back to my old blog... this blog is a reminder for me of my stay there... ^_^

I'll miss Cardiff... I felt almost like home there... I say almost coz it doesn't have the most crucial thing for me to call it home... family (minus my sis) and friends.. ^_^ But if I had to choose to re-locate somewhere...I'd choose Wales anytime :)

harini saya dpt present dari kakak saya.. kakak saya kasik leather banded watch from gems.tv..ada pink sapphire wooo...leather kale pink-ish lagi.. hohohoh... saya sayang kakak saya! earlier in the day.. saya dapat short jacket yg saya bid di e-bay... i liek! then I went to Asda alone... and I bought me another pair of the shoes i bought before..tapi kale oren..ahahahahah... hari mendapat/membeli barangan sungguh saya yer... abisla ibunda marah bile sampai sini :P

saya baru pulang dari menghantar bebudak ke skolah... masa nak balik, kereta kakak saya kene langgar dari belakang... nasib baik kereta only scratch... kereta perempuan bodoh yang melanggar itu yang bumper depan terkopak skit... chis...and it had to happen to me.. when it was raining, and when it was rush hour for people to send their kids and get to work... *sigh*

So... today I'm 23 years and 2 3 days old.. ahahahhaa.. my ~~first~~ second day in to 23 years old wasn't what I'd wanted it to be... kereta kakak saya takleh start masa nak antar kids... battery boleh k.o.. bodoh... haih.. mungkin saya jugak yg bodoh mungkin terlupa tutup radio the day before... ye saya bodoh..hahahahaha..

anyway.. I had to walk to Canton to pickup Hazim from nursery... it's like.. 20 minutes walk to and another 20 minutes back... on the way back singgah Medina beli ayam dan minced meat... balik..Kak Ju masak..hoyeh! :P saya tertidor setelah pulang... man I really need to start working out..jalan 40 minit balik dah k.o pahal.. damn.. woke up to the smell of spaghetti sauce cooking.. heheheh..(also sebab kaki sejuk ...tingkap kakak aku terbukak so angin sejuk masuk bilik)

pastu.. kul 2 lebih went out again with my sis, pinjam keter orang atas... pegi library Business school coz she wanted to pickup some books, then went to check out her future house...Rumah mmg dekat gile ar ngan skolah budak... so takde la susah die nanti sensorang nak gi amik budak pe sume... En. Javid...sile cepat siapkan rumah plis!

Today... pagi still kene pinjam kereta orang atas...sebab our car tak diperbaiki lagi... so I had to send my sis to the City Hall coz she's invigilating there today... Later Che' Wan cam over and had a look at the car... he had it running and took the car for a drive... he still wasn't back when I was going out to send the kids so I still had to use orang atas nyer keter... sent the kids, came home, the car was ready, and... here I am..doing nothing ahahahhha.. oh.. tadi kuar gi amik hazim... and beli ploughman's sandwich at Ferrari's (not the car..it's a deli)... tak sedap cam kat gregg's ah... gregg's sandwich still lagi sedap.. then I just came home.. bosan gile... that's why I'm writing this pointless entry.. huhuhuhuh
Oh and did I tell you guys I can't stop browsing e-bay?? addictive ok e-bay nie... mau tak nye..baju aku senang je nak carik huhuhuh.. baru beli satu jacket online..sedang menunggu ketibaan... seperti biasa kakak saya yang kene bayar.. hohoho.. jahat kan saya? nasib baik dah nak balik...

My parents+Nawal are coming on Monday Hurraaaahhhh \^^/ We're still not sure whose gonna go and pick them up... I need to go and change my plane ticket... tapi.. tah la kakak saya yang akan menentukan semua itu.. WEI LAGI +/- 2 MINGGU AKU NAK BALIK WEI!!!

23 years old on the 23rd

I'm 23 years old today... I don't feel any different from how I was yesterday... But I just feel liek I'm old(er)... How am I spending my day today? Well.. most probably, just like any other day... send the kids, pickup the kids, watch tv, cook, that's pretty much it... *sigh*

BBQ!!

We went for a BBQ in Sully last Sunday. Brought chicken and also nasik goreng for the bbq. We headed out around 9-ish to Kak Mar's house, and headed out around 10-ish fromher house to Sully. Our 1st destination was actually this big-ass car boot sale in Sully. It was on like these rugby fields... It was a really HUGE place...AND it was by the sea! barang kat situ sume best jugak la.. there was this one place that sold plus size clothings ^_^ bought a pair of jeans for like £5. Saw The Simpsons Duff Beer fridge which the guy was selling for £8! But I didn't buy it coz I know my mom would kill me if I bought it T_T besides.. nak bawak balik camne? *sigh*

We spent like.. 2 hours or so there.. the kids got a toy each, and the mum... didn't buy anything for herself... yet :P We're planning to go there again! heheheheh

Anyway.. later, we headed to this...lake side (I don't remember the name heh) We chose a spot and set up for our bbq! It was really great fun..with great food...and great company ^_^ makan sampak sekak perut.. hoyeh! with some picciessss!

hmm... Being in the UK certainly is different from being back in Malaysia... I LOVE the TV shows here.. .but some are just.. plain... I dunno... demeaning? memalukan? kinda stupid?

for example.. there's Family Forensic.. where the family (or one stupid member of the family who tricked his/her family) lets total strangers who are "professionals" in forensic things, and let them go through their personal stuff, and gets a profile of them from their belongings... They go through EVERYTHING... handphones, journals, PC's, just everything! So if the family has a dark secret they'd find out... like the one I watched, the daughter was sms-ing raunchy things to strangers... another one told everyone in the UK that his son's dad was her bestfriends husband.. like hello...tak tau malukah anda? PLUS, she put herself up onto a bisexual pron site or something and EVERYONE knows la kan skarang... Aku rasa mmg certain people tak tau malu kot?

And I realized how BAD it is here pasal pre-marital sex amongst teens.. I mean seriously bad.. I know people always told me.. "alah Malaysia pun sama jugak..." but.. I don't think it's to this extent... Everywhere I walk, ada je nampak girls with a baby in their prams... and sangat nampak macam budak sekolah... memang masalah dunia betul la kat sini...

Tah la..memacam jugak la kat sini... there's always a good/bad side of everything right...

I just felt like writing somehting in my blog today...

Living in Cardiff in these past few months made me realize how much I have back home that I sometimes take for granted, like having my parents around, not having to pay a single cent for your food, having someone take care of the house+cats(which is supposed to be MY duty to take care of MY cats), not paying for my car, not paying for the car fuel, not paying for the bills... etc.

Here, I do have to do part of the job of taking care of the house, take care of the kids, go buy groceries, pay for things I buy (even though it's not exactly my money but it's coming out from my wallet ^^;;) and worse being away from my parents... and my cats... and my friends! I dunno if I can really stand being so far away from all of em longer that I have to...

But..whatever it is.. I am hoping that, when I go back home in June, I'll appreciate things more.. and hopefully be more responsible and always be grateful to what I have...

I actually like living here, minus the fact that I miss everything back home, and think of everything every single second. I can get clothes easily compared to back home... god..why do asians have to be supposedly "petite" sized... =_= ... Last weekend, For once I found me a top that fits me perfectly.. and I swear it was perfect.. coz my niece said I looked nice in it... and didn't complain that it was too tight or anything! Plus, I know my dad would be happy to see me wear something like that coz he's always told me to wear long-sleeved tops and it has to cover my butt! :P thank god it was 50% off... it was £14, and I got it for £7.. ok it's still roughly RM 49, but I still don't get clothes for that price back home. Sorry mak ^^;;

Ok lah.. i think that's enough rants for one day...

Tuesday (18th April);

It was the last day that we get to spend with our guests, before they go back to London, and catch a plane to their next destination: Hungary.

We went to the the Museum of Welsh Life/St. Fagans National History Museum. And yes this is my 2nd time being there. But this time, it was better coz there were less people, and we were enlightened by what Auntie Carol and Uncle David told us about the history and stuff. We even went on a horse-drawn carriage ride!

We went around, and headed for lunch. We stumbled upon an Italian place just outside of Cardiff. The food was excellent and the price were reasonable.

We came home, Auntie Carol came later to send Farah back coz she "kidnapped" Farah for a while to find a globe for the kids,came back an hour later and we said our goodbyes... in tears... heh... I dunno when will be the next time I'll be meeting them again... uncle David was saying abou t wanting to go to the Malaysian leg of the F1 race in Sepang in 2008... We'll just have to wait and see I guess :)

Big Pit

On Monday, which was a Bank holiday here, we went to a place called Big Pit with Auntie Carol and Uncle David, which is an old coal mine situated in Blanaefon. Me and my sis never knew of the existence of this place before Auntie Carol told us about it :P. Best thing of all, it's FREE! So anyway... we had to equip ourselves to go down the mine. We were given a safety helmet each, also a torchlight on the head with it's wet-cell battery, and also this thingamajig thats put on our belt along with the battery... and it weighs like 5 kg O_O. Kesian kat bebudak sebab kene bawak their own kit for an hour or so sendiri. We were made to take off all our watches and leave all the car keys and cellphones or anything that uses a normal dry-cell battery with the people there, coz they say that it the dry-cell battery may cause an exploxion underground.

We had to squeezeee into the lift, and we were brought about.. 300 feet underground. The tourguide briefed us about the pit then we made our way to a door. In the past, the doors are manned by little children aged from 6 to about 10 year old. Our guide made us switch off all our lights and imagine how it would be like for the poor kids who had to work in those days. With all the rats, roaches, bugs crawling at their feet, and the fact that they were bare footed. That was really a scary moment..really... it was pitch black and you can't even see your own hand in front of you even if you tried!

So, we went onwards and he told us about the types of dram and rails they used through out the mine. Women and teenagers used to transport the dram (which was filled with the coals and weighs to about 1 tonne each) in and out of the mines. Can you(ladies) imagine yourself pushing your car for 10 hours a day? I certainly can't...

As we went on, the guide pointed out to us what a dangerous place the mine was. 2 weeks before, a big rock fell through into the mines just as a group of tourists (like us) had turned a corner. Lucky for them no one was hurt. One of the lady with us kinda freaked out when she heard the story :P. Anyway, they had patched the place up and it's safe now (I think...)

We came to a stable area, and we were told about the horses which replaced the women and children transporting the dram. They worked all day, never saw sunlight, and when they were about 10 years old, they were brought up to the surface, for "retirement", which I have a feeling that they kill the horses and ate the meat O_O. Later on, the treatment towards the horses were better, as they were given 2 weeks at the surface to run and enjoy the sun before they were brought back down for work. Later on, the horses were replaced by the rails.We walked some more, and then we went back up to the surface and walked about the other buildings they had there.

Then we headed of to Caerphilly Castle coz both of our guests wanted to see the castle. We had a really hard time trying to find somewhere to eat! It seems that, during bank holidays, even the restaurants and shops are mostly closed... bodoh tak? Malaysia kalau time cuti lagi orang nak bukak kedai, bring in the customers, but noooo.. sini sometimes Sunday pun tanak bukak kedai... =_=

We first went to this Tavern, masuk je we were like... O_O, gelap, busuk bau asap, lantai kotor... and NO ONE MADE ANY EFFORT TO GREET US OR TAKE US TO A TABLE! We even had to take our own menus! We waited for a waiter and when they didn't come, we decided to go somewhere else instead. One of my nephew threw a big tantrum coz he was hungry and tired, but in the end we made a move and because most of the shops are closed, we had to go to Morrison's again, coz that's the only place we know that had food, and was open. I felt really bad for Auntie Carol and Uncle David...

After lunch, we split ways...My sis, the kids and myself made our way home, and Auntie Carol and Uncle David went exploring the castle.

Yesterday, went out with Auntie Carol, unfortunately without David coz he was feeling a bit sick...

Auntie Carol came over, and made us pancakes with Maple Syrup from Vermont, for breakfast. Pancakes + Vermont Maple Syrup = L.O.V.E <3!! Since David wasn't with her, Auntie Carol thought it wouldbe better if we just went to Cardiff Castle instead of going out from Cardiff to see other things.

We went for the tour of the inside of the castle, which was GREAT. I was like O_O everytime we went into a new room. It was unbelievable! The architecture, the paintings, the finishing, the walls, the ceiling, the fireplace, etc. were really magnificant. Then we walked around the castle grounds for a while, and then we headed to Bute park which was next to the castle. They were having a flower show, and we thought it was free... It turned out we had to pay £10 per person for entry!!! WTF? cekik darah.. kurang hajar gile... and all you do was shop in the damn so called flower show! *sigh* So we just went home instead, and Auntie Carol tought us how to play the game she bought for my niece. Then we had kuey teow goreng for dinner, and then Auntie Carol went back to her hotel.

and today we went out with them again... that i'll just keep it for tomorrow's entry ;)

Yesterday we went for dinner with Auntie Carol and David @ Bali Restaurant. The food was great, and we had a great time chatting about, coz the last time I've seen her was when I was 11 and the last time my sister met Auntie Carol was 10 years ago!

We're going to go out with them today... waiting for them to arrive at our house at the moment... Auntie Carol is going to make us some pancakes :D she actually brought the batter and maple syrup all the way from Vermont :P

Oh.. my dad called yesterday while we were walking back from dinner... My eldest sister had given birth (by c-section) to a healthy baby boy!!! Easter baby ^_^ weighing 4.1 kg O_O... bapak besar ok :P Can't wait to go home and meet him!

Update time! Sorry, it's a bit late...

Friday: Packed up and left for London by Megabus @ 12.15 p.m, and reached there at around 3 p.m. Met up with my sisters friend, Kak Nurul and her daughter, and made our way to theplace where we were staying till Sunday. We took the tube from Victoria Station to Edgeware Station, and walked for like 2-3 minutes to get to the place. We actually rented a room for us from this lady we call Umi. Really great location, still in Zone 1, and has loads of halal restaurant to choose from, including a Malaysian restaurant called Mawar. Anyway... we put away our stuff, rested a bit, and went out again to Trafalgar Square, which was under construciton (sial gile... ) the lions were covered up with scaffolding and crap T_T...Plus, I dunno where have all the pigeons gone too... gahhhhh! Then we went to McD coz I was effing hungry and kept snapping back at everyone eheh... then we walked to Picadilly Street,then headed back to our place, and stopped by at the shops to buy things that we can cook and brought with us for lunch..

Saturday: Woke up early coz we had to share a bathroom with the room next door, made breakfast, fried up some burgers and hotdogs to bring with us, and headed out at 9-ish. 1st stop: Buckhingham Palace!! Since it was rather early so we went to check out the Queen's Gallery. I bought some things there for myself and my parents too. Went back infront of the palace to a swarm of other tourist wanting to catch the changing of guards. We waited, and waited and waited for what seems like forever! Like hello aku pakai boots nak berdiri berjam²??? gileee!!! Anyway... When it finally started, we were already tired of being on our feet... So while the thing was still in progress, at about 12 p.m, we were on our way... malas nak tunggu lelama dah!

Next stop was The London Eye... There were loaaaaaaddddsss of people here.. rimas gile! Kak Ju had to queue up for 30 minutes to buy our tickets, and we had to line up for another 30-45 minutes to get on the London Eye!! *sigh* silap hari ah pegi London nie... But I think the view from the London Eye was worth the wait really...

We had lunch at the nearby playground after we got off the eye, then we headed to the Natural History Museum to see some dinosaurs... or it's bones at least :p We got there at about 4.30 pm or so... we didn't get to see evreything in the museum since it closes at 5.45 p.m, then kene halau.. hahahahha.. and we took the tube and headed back home! penat ok... walaupun korang tgk cam sikit je... tapi.. can you imagine, walking with 4 kids, having to keep an eye on them, having to get through throngs of people on the streets *rolls eyes*. If you uys are planning to go to London, don't go during holidays... silelah pegi time off-peak times.. like..winter or something... Anyway... we stopped by the many shops nearby our place to buy dinner... and got home, but I didn't sleep till like 2 a.m... semua gara-gara my sis berborak sama Kak Nurul and I joined in..hahahahha gile muke tak malu :P tapi banyak cerita2 zaman memuda kakak aku yg aku dpt dengar.. hohohohoh...

Sunday: Woke up around 7 a.m, took a shower, lepak-lepak and waited for my sis to get ready, ate breakfast, packed up our stuff, and went out at about 10-ish. Went to Victoria Station, and we lepak-ed there for a while since our bus was at 11.45 a.m, I bought some coffee and some Sushis which were quite good. at 11.30 or so we made our way to the Coach side which was at the other side of the road, to find out that our bus to Cardiff was already ready, and everyone was already boarding... So we said our goodbyes to Kak Nurul and her kid who were going back to Southampton, boarded the bus and we were on our way home. We had a really great driver, and a much better bus than the one that we had to ride to London, way wayyyy better! I slept 90% of the journey... I woke up when we were 40 minutes away from Cardiff :P Penat beb...

So that was our trip to London... I don't like London..seriously... I prefer Cardiff! It's more laid back... London is just too busy and too cramped with people... oh... and seeing allt he pretty people in London did nothing for my self-esteem thankyouverymuch... It's intimidating, and I felt like crap in London... Maybe if I go again I'd feel differently, but.. I dunno... This trip wasn't the best I had here...

I'm looking forward to this weekend coz Auntie Carol is coming to Cardiff!!! The last time I met her was when I was 11 years old... but she told my sis the last time she saw me was when I was a baby... baby pejadah aku dah besar (literally) masa tu... :P We're going to have dinner with her on Saturday night at Bali Restaurant, which serves Malaysian+Singaporean+Indonesian cuisines... dah gi try with my sis, sedap jugak..and the portions were kinda big too... So... silelah tunggu my next update.. kthxbye

Caerphilly Castle is liek whoah O_O

So, yesterday we decided to go to Caerphilly Castle in Caerphilly which is about 30 or so minutes away from Cardiff.

I wasn't really expecting a grand thing really.... I thought most of it was in ruins.. boy was I ever wrong! We got there, parked the car, and walked through a park surrounding the castle to get to it. The 1st view of it was stunning! absolutely stunning!

So we went in, paid the entrance fees, and went up the tower on top of the front gates where they had an exhibition. The stairs were small-ish and steep O_O scary ok... After the exhibition, we decided to go to the TOP of the tower (masa ni aku ada skit takut sebab steep nak mampos and aku takut takleh turun!). The view was like.. WHOAH.. liek.. liek.. omaigod..

Then we went down and proceeded to the inner castle. We saw the great hall and we walked around the inner castle. There was also this leaning, half-gone tower which they say was a result of the time when gun powder was founded... Guess someone bombed the tower or something XD

After checking out the castle, we went to Morrisons across the street for lunch... It was full with old people O_O I really dunno why they like eating there, but there were seriously too many old people and not enough younger people... as usual, we ate fish and chips, with a side dish of peas (yucks!). Then we walked back to the car and was supposedly on our way back.. butttttt, my sis decided to go to Roath Park, since it was a really really nice day, the sun was shining and it wasn't that cold, and she wanted the kids to be outside, rather than just be inside the house playing their PS2. So we went to Roath park, stopped at Lidl to buy some cheap bread to feed the ducks+swans+geese at the park.

Ramai gile la manusia kat situ... I think everyone wanted to be outside coz it's really hard to get a good day like yesterday really. We even got to eat ice cream! walaupun tak sedap... coz it tasted like... plain milk which was turned into ice cream... T_T I thought it was supposed to be vanilla or something!

We were there for quite a while... the kids were having fun with this really long slide, sanggup beratur walaupun orang ramai gile... then we went to another side of the park to feed the remaining of the bread to the ducks and swans and geese and seagulls, and we went home.. penat nak mati!

I'm missing home so bad today... and I'm really really really missing my cats back home... I miss my weekly Gilmore Girls downloads... I miss my Yakitate!! Japan... I miss my bed.. I miss my car... I even miss going to class... *sigh* I'm not used to doing practically nothing for too long... maybe that's why I've been using a lot of money, coz I need something else to occupy my brain so I think of buying this and that... God I miss being back home...and it's only been a month! :( :( :(

Chocolate Factoryyyyy

Soooooo.. anyway, today we went to Swansea, coz we wanted to go for a tour at this Chocolate Factory named... The Chocolate Factory.. duhhh.. :P It's actually a company name Michton. We got out of the house around 10 a.m. I had to drive coz my sis wasn't feeling so good this morning. She drives at 80 mph on the M4, I drove only at 60-65 mph.. hahahahaha... nasib.. :P, BUT I got a reason lah why I drove not as fast... the winds here are CRAZY! kuat nak mampos O_O I had a hard time trying to keep the car steady! So anyway... the drive to Swansea took about an hour or so, and we straight away tried to find the factory, which was rather small. Because we reached there at around 11 and we had 4 hours to spare, we decided to find a beach, which my sister said was quite near, and we went for it.

It felt like AGES for me to get there! of course lah.. I was driving like a turtle okay... still not used to the roads here, PLUS the rural roads were dead small.. I mean REALLY small... I get freaked out everytime a car comes from the opposite side! So anyway... We got lost for a while and found a castle, which we couldn't get into, so we went back the other way, and went into this carpark, and LO and BEHOLD... it was actually the access to the damn beach! There was no friggin sign to say that it was!! So anyway, we paid £2, and parked our cars nearest to the beach. It.was.friggin. AWESOME! you don't get this type of beach back home! BUT it was super windy!! The sands+small rocks got thrown at us by the wind, can you believe it? We were there for about 1/2 hour taking piccies and just looking around, coz by the time we got there it was already around 12 something, thanks to my super duper slow driving.. ehehehehhe...

Then my sis took over the wheels and we were off to the choc factory! well, not before we had lunch at a McDonald's on the way :D all of us had Fillet-O-Fish coz thats all that we can eat here anyway apart from their salad *sigh*. We finished eating around 1.35 p.m and made our way to the factory, finally :P

So we got there, paid our tickets (£6 adult, £4.50 kids), they gave us these shower cap thinggies but it's made our of a tissue like thing, we waited at the cafe' for the others, at at around 2 p.m the tour started.

We first had to listen to Coco the clown (our tour guide), who informed us about how the chocs are made in the first place, where it came from etc. that took about 30-45 minutes, then they split us up into 2 groups, coz the factory is rather small, and we got Coco as our guide while the other group got the company's sales and marketing exec I think...

So anyway, Coco showed us the form of the chocolates which were brought to the factory, then how they melt it, how they put the chocs into moulds, how they cool it, and other techniques they use to make stuff like easter eggs and champagne bottle shaped chocs and cars and stuff, also how they wrap those chocs in foils. That took about.. 15-20 minutes or so, then they lead us to the shop. There were loads of things but there was nothing for us to bring back to remind us of the trip like a magnet or something. the only thing that had "the chocolate factory" on them were only caps and also some baby-t's... Which was rather dissapointing. Then there was also a candy shop, but we didn't bother going in there coz most of the things were like liquorice and stuff so...

Then we found out that the sales exec had been to Malaysia a couple of times, and one of the family that were with us in the tour lived in Singapore, and comes to JB quite often for shopping! I think Malaysia is food heaven, coz alllll they talk about was food... their fav food, what food they missed and so forth... Satay, laksa, chicken rice...and the guy from singapore (they were phillipines by the way, they live in s'pore now methinks) said he loved "kambing sup" (~~lamb~~ mutton soup?).. huhuhuh.. and they surely missed living in s'pore... They're now in Swansea coz the dad was doing his clinical there I think...

So anyway, had Hot choc, even though I was full to the brim with free choc they handed out during the tour... took some more pics and we went home...

not quite..

We stopped at Brigend, the fav place for my sis to shop (hehehe) coz I desperately needed a new pair shoes... (Sorry mak and Abah, kasut mahal tu tak berapa practical nak pakai all the time!) The winds were blowing superly hard today... even the tent thinggy at Brigend was shaking like crazy... Got a pair of sport shoes for £18, Lonsdale...then checked out Clarks... and MIRACULOUSLY I found apair of boots thats MY SIZE *shocked*, PLUS, it was a further 40% off from the amount stated... so that pair was £35, and it's now £21 O_O leather some moreeee.... after much contemplating... I BOUGHT IT... reasons? 1. the pair I loved was 2 times that price... 2. You can't find a boot at that size back home.. 3. You can't find a boot at that size, AT THAT PRICE back home 4. I REALLY REALLY REALLY WANT BOOTS! It's far too cold here for plain shoes.. omaigod...

so there... and eventually we went home... pooped and tired... oh..we stopped over at Medina to buy some lamb shoulder meat to cook for dinner... and some lady fingers.... dinner was delish.. thanks to Kak Ju :D... ok .. tis all... for Piccies.. past few days have been un-eventful... Went to Asda yesterday to buy a few things, and I bought this cooking mag, fully loaded with uber-delish recipes... now i just need to get myself of my fat ass and start trying to cook some of em.. heh

Anyway... that magazine led me to know of a chocolate factory in Swansea, AND WE'RE GOING THERE TOMORROWWWW woooott!!! pegi round chocolate factory..yeayyyy! mari menggemukkan diri.. hohoho...

Oh..lepastukan... the weather is really being a bitch I tell you.. It snowed.. AGAIN... TODAY! bodoh tak bodoh ar.. COME ON SPRING! haih...

I'm effing pissed off coz I've been sick since the week I got here... and it looks like it's getting a tad bit worse than yesterday... yesterday I didn't have a headache..and today I feel like I just want to lie down and DIEEEEE....

HOI BADAN... KO DAH 3 MINGGU KAt SINI!! TAKKAN TAK BIASA LAGI KOT!

woke up at 5 a.m coz my nose was unbearably clogged... when i got up from the bed it felt like all the blood rushed to or from my head in a rush..and it wasn't a pleasent feeling at all... went to the toilet, came back in the room watched some tv... got dizzy after about 30 minutes and managed to get back to sleep... and when I woke up around 8 a.m, I look like shit, I FEEL like one too.. and my eyes were red... luckily after I showered it wasn't all red and shitty looking... but the headache persisted... i just took some Sudafed + Panadol... if Sudafed isn't working today, I'll start eating my Actifed..since it's the weekend.. I can't take it on weekdays... got things to do... I'm supposed to follow Kak Ju to help out with some family moving their stuff into a truck coz they're going back to Malaysia soon... but I'm too effing tired+sick so she went by herself instead... demmit.. i really really really hate being sick... and the clinic here costs a fuckload...

Now I'm gonna go drink some asam jawa drink I made yesterday....

mom sms-ed me today asking about my visa... I felt like talking to her so I called her up... asked her how things were at home and how my cats are doing... She told me.. Abi has been 'monyok' for quite a few days, so she sent her to the vet (which is rather unbelievable.. mak hantar kucing pegi vet?? huhuhuh terharu!)... The vet said "Abi ni tak demam nie... rindu kat Feruz je kot".. awwww... sedih aaaaa *cries* kucing aku monyok sebab rindu kat aku... huwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa... but she still gave Abi medication... gave her some antibiotics, and my mom said she was pretty mad at my mom trying to give the medicine to her... poor Abi :( PLUS, Abi wants the maid to carry/dukung her every morning!!!! How manja is that???? omaigod... If the maid doesn't carry her every morning she'll go merajuk somewhere... ek eleh... drama queen betul la kucing aku sekor tu...tapi.. who could blame her... aku takde.. uhuk.. then si Boolat bongok pulak.. keeps on getting pissed off at people.. gigit kaki and all why? because no one wants to play with her..hahahahahahah.. tu ah..aku ade kat rumah jual mahal... kecoh buat perangai... aku takde ni.. baru tau.. bohahahahahhha.. kejam plak aku terasa... City centre...

Went to the City Centre with my sis this morning... we just walked coz it's not that far anyway, plus there was gonna be a rugby match at the stadium which would mean it's gonna be a pain to get a parking space at the city centre. She told the kids we were gonna be home in an hour or so... so off we went at 11.30 a.m... My main objective was to find some personal stuff at Marks and Spencers, coz I KNOW it's there...We went to quite a few shops... Looked at boots mostly coz I'm trying to find one with my size. I actually found one the other day but it was like £40! And when we found a cheaper one at the city centre, it didn't fit me as well, and we continued searching but withno luck... *sigh*. We also went to Debenhams. Had a drink coz we were rather hungry and tired, and THEN we saw they had these racks of clothes for 70% off!! I was like.. whoahhh... so.. I got another pair of sweatpants which is uber best gile, and cropped cardi yang kene ikat kat depan... nanti ah aku tangkap pic.. malas ok... huhuhuhuh... We ended up being out for like.. 3 and 1/2 hours... hahahahha.. nasib la bebudak ni ok je duk rumah :P

You couldn't have been more wrong if you think that the snow in Cardiff was like WOW... so so wrong... coz yesterday we went to Brecon (I think it's a National Park) to se REALLY THICK SNOW... O_O I was stoked gile ah kan...ahahahahhaa.. Today, I was supposed to go to the car boot sales with my sis... dunno exactly where it is but.. I just follow her lah kan.. My sister said she 1st wanted to go to Splott to buy some fruits, then to the car boot sale... On the way, we saw like.. people all dressed in white + blue and people selling flags of Wigan and Man U... memandangkan kami ni agak la tak layan bola, so we didn't know that the Carling cups finals is TODAY... so it's Wigan vs. Man United... I saw some chicks wearing blue wigs huhuhu gile semangat :P so anyways... after we went to Splott, my sis told me that she wanted to show me the City Centre first, but then when we got there it turned out they closed the area for todays game... We made the decision to just go back home and scratch the idea of going to the car boot sales, coz obviously there wasn't gonna be much on sale coz even at Splott which was sorta like a flea market there wasn't many people selling stuff, so we just went home coz takut jalan tutup.. karang takleh balik masalah pulak kan... So we went home, parked the car, and decided to walk to the riverside coz there's this weekend market or something going on there... nice walk with a GREAT view of the stadium... memang sekangkang river je la kan... they sold loaddsss of things, most of it organic food... Me and my sis bought a pastry each, with mine being an apple tart kinda thing, and my sis bought like a almond thinggy both were magnifique!! people were actually lining up to buy their breads n stuff! Then we bought some hot apple juice.. sedap wooo... I never knew that apple juice could be that good when hot!
and I also snapped a few pic... mmg few betul la.. 3 je..ahahahahhahaah

Anyways.. today we went to Brigend, where there's this big place to shop.. it's not like a mall... it's like open with rows and rows of shops...I kinda bought a lot of stuff there actually... I bought a pair of gloves, 2 fleece jacket for £12.57, a new purse for £4.20, a belt for £6.99, I bought it coz it's really hard to find a belt my size, and 3 cook books for £10... One of my jacket was.. free.. *grins* coz the cashier forgot to key it in or something but she put it into my bag anyway so.... yeay..ahahahahha.. After I finished shopping with my wallet considerably slimmer, we had lunch at the food court... I opted for jacket potato with baked beans + cheese toppings... sounds good doesn't it? IT WAS TASTELESS!! omaigod... tamau makan lagi dah yg tu... the kids nyer fish and chips sedap..rugi aku takmakan yang tu.. isk isk... Farah and Ajim had their face painted... I like farah's butterfly face painting :D Man was a bit grumpy the whole day... sakit tekak katenye... wattudu... My sore throat is getting better but the kids are just starting to get sick...kasihan.. monday dah start skolah huhuhuhuh...

Yesterday, my sister asked my niece, Farah, to show me where their schools are so that I have no problem sending them, and also, to go find some food items at tesco nearby the schools.

IT WAS SO FREAKING FAR OKAY! O_O and it was soooo damn cold... omaigod... I felt like my nose was gonna come off at any moment! It was a nice walk la tapi... but when i got back home... rasa macam nak demam... and I had to take some pills, went to sleep... and I had, and still have, a very bad sore throat! I feel like taking out the goddamn tonsils by myself.... amik garpu... cucuk.. ahahahahhahahaa..

So anyway, I've decided to open another blog for my stay in cardiff so that it doesn't be in the way of my boring almost-daily rants.. :D

Yesterday I went to Asda with my sis... bought me.. 2 pair of jeans which costs £3 each, a shirt which cost £4, and a pair of sweat pants also for £4... which is impossible for me to buy with about RM 90 in Malaysia.. So I'm happy.. ahahahaha...

now i gtg.. will post more.. later
